While this site may be about crafty goodness and handmade items, I am a proponent of sharing accurate, timely and factual information, how to tips, tricks, and videos.
So, while I await next holiday season I am going to be sharing our recent happenings, tidbits of information and factual data from events that in some way impacted traditional holidays and events.
This years holiday, for many of us, was greatly impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic. Sharing holiday dinners and desserts with family and friends in person was greatly reduced, for many of us, to Zoom calls and regular (YIKES) old fashioned phone calls.
Instead of sharing Grandma's sweet potato casserole and being with extended family. It was my husband and one of my sons, Hunter, who shared Christmas together. None of us has been home for the holidays in years, mainly due to work. This season we could have gone back to my in-laws (work is down the tubes for my pet sitting gig and the hubs musical ventures) but due to the pandemic that was not possible.
We had a nice holiday, I worked on some stockings, rebuilt this website and did some house work. The normal hustle and bustle of the holiday season was painfully on hold. Here's hoping that next years post Christmas blog post regales us all in how fabulous it was!
What did you do this holiday that was different from your normal holiday routine?
